See An Art Show
Clear out Thursday evening because GIRA, Gallery Nights hipper little brother, will be host to art shows, live music and free Stella at twelve fantastic galleries through Villa Crespo and Palermo. It is impossible to choose a favorite with such an awesome line up but I’d recommend starting on the Villa Crespo end at La Ira de Dios and Gachi Prietoand working your way into Soho to visit Mar Dulce, the newly opened Honeycomb Gallery, and capping the night at cultural center/bar/venue/gallery CASA A and get weird (truly) with a live show by Tierra de Nadie – the experimental band that has tinges of grunge, 80s dance electro, jazz and house. Also in the zona but not part of the GIRA tour is the opening of La pepa en el mate(Acid in the mate), with illustrations by El Sike and Tu Vieja at El Universal. For the artsy academic, the MALBA will be hosting two days of free seminars and video projections related to art and design of the 1960s. You must sign up here.
